The challenge

The founders had 9 weeks before their seed round expired. They needed a market-ready mobile savings product with recurring deposits, group savings pools, automated investment routing, and a full admin dashboard, across iOS and Android. They had zero existing tech infrastructure.

What we built

We ran a 3-day discovery sprint, locked the scope, and began sprint 1 on day 4. The team ran parallel workstreams: React Native frontend, Node.js + PostgreSQL backend, Paystack and Flutterwave payment gateway integrations, and an internal admin panel built on a Next.js dashboard. By week 7 we were in TestFlight beta with real users.

How we worked

  1. Week 1

    Discovery and scoping

Defined MVP feature set, user journeys, technical architecture, and payment gateway strategy. Locked scope on day 3.

  2. Weeks 2–4

    Core build

Authentication, savings accounts, deposit flow, and group savings module. API first, mobile UI in parallel.

  3. Weeks 5–6

    Payment integration and admin

Paystack recurring debit, Flutterwave fallback, admin dashboard for transaction monitoring and user management.

  4. Week 7

    Beta testing

Deployed to TestFlight and Play Store internal track. 200 beta users, 14 bugs filed, 12 resolved in sprint.

  5. Weeks 8–9

    Launch and handover

Public launch, App Store approval, monitoring setup, and full code/documentation handover to client team.

We had a fully deployed engineering team in four days. No interviews, no onboarding drag. They shipped our MVP in six weeks and it has been live ever since.
