The challenge
Replace a manual dispatch and tracking system with an event-driven real-time platform, integrate with the retail client's order management system via API, and migrate all existing driver and route data, without disrupting active deliveries.
What we built
Literesults deployed a 3-person engineering team with a dedicated PM. We built an event-driven backend on Node.js with WebSocket-based real-time tracking, a driver mobile interface in React Native, a dispatcher dashboard, and a REST API for the retail client integration. The old system ran in parallel for 2 weeks during rollout.
How we worked
-
Week 1
System design and data audit
Mapped all existing routes, driver records, and manual workflows. Defined event schema for real-time updates.
-
Weeks 2–4
Core platform build
Event-driven backend, driver app, dispatcher dashboard, and WebSocket tracking engine.
-
Week 5
Retail API integration
REST API built and certified against retail client spec. End-to-end integration testing completed.
-
Week 6
Parallel rollout and handover
System ran alongside legacy for 5 days. Old system decommissioned. Full documentation and operations handover.
Stack
We verified three candidates in under ten minutes. One had a certificate from another bootcamp that turned out to be completely fabricated. Literesults caught it immediately.
